Tiger Leaping Gorge

Departing 06-May-2010 to 23-May-2010

This is a trekking tour in the mountainous regions of northern-Vietnam and in the southern and south western region of China's Yunnan Province and is well balanced for those who genuinely enjoy outdoors, active pursuits and cultural diversity. We trek at altitudes of circa 3,200ms over challenging terrain and a good overall level of fitness is neccessary before starting the tour. This should in no way be considered a series of bush walks - far from it in fact. The tour provides a good mix of trekking and sightseeing days in places and areas that the individual tourist would find difficult to package into one tour. This may be a once-only tour opportunity. The Tiger Leaping Gorge area is the world's second deepest river gorge and home to the Yangtze River as it drops 300 metres along 18km and through 18 rapids.
