ABOUT ALUMNI TRAVEL

Alumni Travel operations commenced at The University of Sydney in 1987, and we then moved to our CBD location in 1989. The company's founder and Managing Director is Rob Lovell who previously taught within the Faculty of Education at the University of Sydney and in secondary schools throughout NSW.

INTERNATIONAL TOURS

Each year since 1990, Alumni Travel has been offering a series of special interest tours all over the world for travellers, led by academics or experts in the focus of the tour. Initially Alumni Travel worked with Australian University Alumni Associations but then began offering tours to a wider audience interested in travelling to learn. Alumni Travel keeps in touch with its mail-list members through a free quarterly newsletter called Bon Voyage.

There are now Alumni Travellers in every state and territory in Australia and internationally. Our programs from year to year touch on every continent, celebrating the diverse and unique interests of the company and its travellers.  Travellers living outside Australia are most welcome to participate.  We give you the land only price on the details, to which you can add your own airfare.

Alumni Travel sets out to provide high quality educational, cultural and special interest tours and related products for Australians at home and abroad and international visitors to Australia.

The educational philosophy underpinning our mission is informed by concepts such as experiential education, ecological and cultural sensitivity, life-long learning and international cultural exchange.

GROUPS COMING INTO AUSTRALIA

World Links Education Pty Ltd, the parent company of Alumni Travel, designs and conducts educational programs for international students at secondary or university level coming into Australia.  Currently these include groups from Japan, China, North America and South Africa.  It also acts as agent for the international programs of Sataya Wacana Christian University in Salatiga, central Java.

CONFERENCE ORGANISER

Alumni Travel also acts as a general inbound travel operator and conference organiser, working currently on support services for international conferences conducted by The Faculty of Education at The University of Sydney.
